Belgian Based OPQS Offers Condolences

Belgian based Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team would like to offer its condolences to the friends and families of the 28 people, including 22 children, who were tragically killed in the Belgian coach accident this week.

The UCI announced today there will be a minute of silence for the victims, at the first UCI WorldTour event of the season held in Belgium — the E3 Prijs Vlaanderen-Harelbeke — on March 23rd. A moment of silence will also be held at all road races in Belgium this weekend. 

Furthermore, the Belgian Cycling Federation filed a request for its riders to wear black armbands at Milan-San Remo on Saturday. That request was agreed to, with full commiseration, according to a UCI press release.
