Belgian Track Championships: Iljo Keisse Earns Gold in Two Events

Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team rider Iljo Keisse is now a national champion in both the madison and scratch events. Keisse won gold in both at the Belgian Track Championships on Sunday. Keisse won the Madison along with his teammate Jasper De Buyst. These victories are the 62nd and 63rd, in three disciplines, for OPQS in 2013.

"I'm happy about those two Belgian titles," Keisse said. "It's always nice to win and wear a national champion jersey. I got two, so that's even better. This year was even more special because we received the national champ jersey of the Madison from the hands of Eddy Merckx. This race will be also important in function of Six Days of Rotterdam (January 2nd - January 7th), where I will ride together with Niki Terpstra. I would like also to take the chance to wish all the best to my team, our sponsors, and fans for a great 2014!"
