Tirreno-Adriatico Stage 7: Two in the top 10 of the final ITT

Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team riders Tony Martin and Michal Kwiatkowski finished 4th and 7th, respectively, in the 9.1km Tirreno-Adriatico Stage 7 ITT on Tuesday.

Adriano Malori (Movistar Team) won the time trial with a time of 10'13", after also setting the fastest intermediate time. Fabian Cancellara (Trek Factory Racing) was 2nd fastest, 6" down, and Bradley Wiggins (Sky ProCycling) was 3rd fastest, 11" down.

Martin finished 15" down on Malori, and Kwiatkowski 22" down on the race winner.

Alberto Contador (Tinkoff-Saxo) won the overall. Kwiatkowski finished 18th in the GC.

The ITT concluded a Tirreno-Adriatico that included two OPQS victories: The opening TTT and Mark Cavendish winning the bunch sprint in Stage 6. Alessandro Petacchi was also 2nd in that sprint finale. Cavendish and Kwiatkowski also wore the Maglia Azzurra at different times during the race, and there were podium placings in either the stage or the GC on almost every stage.
