Tour of Turkey Stage 4: Photo Finish in Aggressive Stage
Nikolas Maes and Michal Golas were both aggressive in the final kilometers, including taking a flyer attempting to solo to victory.
However, as other attacks and breaks had been pulled in earlier, his was no exception. The peloton ensured the finish would be a sprint instead of solo. Mark Renshaw (Rabobank) and Matthew Goss (GreenEDGE) led the pack to the finish line, and it was decided that Renshaw won in a very close photo finish after a bike throw.
Maes finished 16th, and Michal Golas remains in 9th place in the GC (+3'02"). Marco Bandiera, who has been a worker for Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team every stage, is listed in 2nd place for the Red "climber's" Jersey. However, he has the same number of points (13) as leader Ivailo Gabrovski.(Konya Torku Seker Spor).
Iljo Keisse was spotted at the front of the peloton earlier in the race, chasing down breaks.
