Zesdaagse Gent: good start for Keisse and Morkov

The 75th edition of the Zesdaagse van Gent started Tuesday evening on the famous track 'het Kuipke'. Etixx - Quick-Step rider Iljo Keisse and his team mate Michael Morkov took a good start and are leading after the first night.

Keisse and Morkov took the win in the team elimination and 1 lap time trial. In the first madison the couple took a lap advantage and won also this part of the first evening. Half way the opening night Keisse en Morkov had a big gap on their first concurrents.

In the following derny race and 500m time trial Keisse and Morkov took some more points. The big finale of the first evening was an other madison of 30 minutes + 6 laps. Keisse crashed during this event, but could get back on his bike and finish the race. Keisse and Morkov lost some of their advantage, but finished the first night on top of the leaderboard.
