BPost Bank Trofee at Loenhout: Stybar 2nd in a Head-to-Head Battle

Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team rider Zdenek Stybar has been in the hunt for victories since his first cyclo-cross race of the season. On Friday, he was once again close with a clever attack against Niels Albert, as the two battled for position with less than two laps to go at Bpost Bank Trofee at Loenhout.

Stybar made his way into race contention by chasing back Albert and Klaas Vantornout. Those three then battled for a few laps, but it came down to Albert and Stybar. Stybar had a 4" gap going into the bell lap, but Albert worked his way back to Stybar's wheel. In the final lap, the two attacked each other relentlessly, but it was Albert's attack going into a muddy final turn that earned him the victory against Styby.
