Keisse and Lampater going strong after day 5

Keisse and Lampater going strong after day 5

Omega Pharma - Quick-Step rider Iljo Keisse and teammate Leif Lampater not only remain on the podium, but also remain in contention for a race victory going into the final day of SixDays Bremen.

Keisse and Lampater, who held first place after day one with 56 points, fell to second place on the second night and then maintained the third place spot through day 5 on Monday night.

However, there's been a swapping of first and second between Franco Marvulli and Marcel Kalz and Peter Schep and Robert Bartko the past few days.

Marvulli and Kalz are clinging to first place overall. Schep and Bartko, however, has to worry about their place in the overall rankings with Keisse and Lampater nipping at their heels.

Overall rankings after night 5
1. Franco Marvulli – Marcel Kalz (SWI/GER) 266 points
2. Peter Schep – Robert Bartko (NED/GER) 257 points
3. Iljo Keisse - Leif Lampater (BEL/GER) 249 points
