Polish National Road Championship: Golas Gets the Jersey
Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team rider Michal Golas brought the incredible moments of his week to two.
The first moment was the birth of his daughter, Helena, earlier this week. The second was winning the Polish National Road Championship on Sunday.
"It's my first national title," Golas said after winning in Poland. "It's a great joy! I have to thank Kwiatkowski. Michal was in the breakaway, and I could stay relaxed in the group, saving energy for the final. In the last kilometers I decided to make the sprint. I won in a sprint group, so this makes my victory even more special. I devote this victory to my wife and my little daughter. Now I really can't wait to dress in this jersey at the Tour of Poland!"
