Tour de Pologne Stage 7: Bouet & Vakoc Top 20 in ITT, Brambilla Top GC Finisher!
Etixx - Quick-Step riders Maxime Bouet and Petr Vakoc finished 15th and 20th, respectively, in the 25km Tour de Pologne Stage 7 ITT in Krakow on Saturday. The ITT concluded the stage race, with Gianluca Brambilla earning top honors for the team in the GC, finishing 26th overall.
Marcin Bialoblocki (Polish National Team) won the final time trial with a time of 28'45" (51.174km/h). Vasil Kiryienka (Team Sky) finished 2nd, 2" down, and Rick Flens (LottoNL - Jumbo) finished 3rd, 59" down.
As predicted, the time trial was the decisive day for the overall classification. Ion Izaguirre (Movistar) won the overall by just 2" over Bart De Clerq (Lotto Soudal). Ben Hermans (BMC Racing Team) finished 3rd, 3" down.
