Tour of Utah Stage 2: Tough Day at the TTT

Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team finished in 17th place in the 21.6km Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah team time trial at Miller Motorsports Park on Wednesday. They finished 2'04" down on stage winner Garmin-Sharp, who finished with a time of 22'35".
Rabobank finished 2nd (32") and Radioshack-Nissan took 3rd (+37").

OPQS went into the stage with just six riders, meaning they could only afford to lose one rider, since five must cross the finish line before the clock stops. Strong crosswinds created some difficulty. Francesco Chicchi could not hold the pace early on into the time trial, and some struggles ensued with the team to stay together in a smooth paceline.

OPQS looks next to 137.8km Stage 3, from Ogden to University of Utah, on Thursday.
