Vuelta Ciclista al Pais Vasco Stage 6 ITT: Kwiatkowski Moves up to 8th GC!
Etixx - Quick-Step rider Michal Kwiatkowski confirmed an 8th place overall finish on Saturday by placing 10th in the final 18.3km ITT, 37" down from stage winner Tom Dumoulin (Giant-Alpecin).
Joaquim Rodriguez (Katusha) won the GC in the last day by finishing faster than race leader Sergio Henao (Team Sky). He placed 2nd in the stage, 4 seconds down from Dumoulin. Ion Izagirre (Movistar) was 3rd (+5").
Tony Martin also finished 11th, 42 seconds down in the time trial that included steep climbing.
Kwiatkowski's top stage finish was 2nd in the 162.7km opening race in Bilbao.
