Classic Sud-Ardèche - Souvenir Francis Delpech: Meersman 6th
Omega Pharma - Quick-Step rider Gianni Meersman finished 6th in a race that came down to a select group of riders on the Côte de Sampzon and Côte de la Vignasse in the final kilometers of 197.8km Classic Sud-Ardèche - Souvenir Francis Delpech.
Mathieu Drujon (Big Mat Auber 93) won the race, with Remi Pauriol (Sojasun) placing 2ndand Romain Bardet (Ag2R La Mondiale) taking 3rd. The finish came down to a group of four that gained separation from a larger group of about 15 riders. Bardet tried to attack more than once, but was reeled in by his break mates.
Meersman arrived in what was left of the peloton as it appeared the race splintered the groups in the final climbs.
