Gullegem Koerse: Meersman 2nd in Photo Finish

Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team rider Gianni Meersman finished 2nd in a photo finish of Gullegem Koerse on Tuesday. 

Jonas Vangenechten (Lotto-Belisol) won as the two decided the race with a bike throw at the line. Meersman and Guillaume Van Keirsbulck were part of an escape group that managed to stay away until the line. They had a 1 minute gap on a chase group of 12-riders, including Andrew Fenn, Nikolas Maes, and Niki Terpstra going into the final lap. The peloton was 1'30" back going into the last lap.
