Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey Stage 6: Meersman Top Finisher

Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team rider Gianni Meersman was the top finisher of the 183.1km climbing stage that ended in Selcuk on Friday.

Meersman was 44th in the 6th Stage, which included a summit finale. Adam Yates (ORICA-GreenEDGE) was able to attack out of a select group to win the stage, and also take the race lead by 1" over Rein Taaramae (Cofidis).

Davide Formolo (Cannondale) finished 2nd, and CCC Polsat Polkowice rider Davide Rebellin was 3rd.

OPQS looks next to two final flat stages, giving Mark Cavendish the chance to add to his three stage victories already at Tour of turkey.
