OPQS rider Martin Velits finished 29th in one of the last races of the 2014 road season on Sunday: 237.5km Paris-Tours. Thomas Voeckler (Team Europcar) and Jelle Wallays (Topsport Vlaanderen - Baloise) were the two remaining riders of an original breakaway that was able to hold off the peloton all the way until the finish line. They had less than 30" on the peloton going into the final kilometers, which proved to be enough time.

The peloton crossed 12" back, with Jens Debusschere (Lotto-Belisol) winning the field sprint for 3rd place. Velits finished in a group 19" back.

A large group of riders, including Thomas De Gendt and Iljo Keisse, withdrew from the race.
