The best Luxembourg rider of the moment, Bob is a pro since 2013, and even though many were predicting him a future on the cobbles a couple of years ago, he took a different road and decided to pursue a future in stage races. Among his most important results we can find a GC win in Étoile de Bessèges, a six place at last year’s Tour de Suisse and three top 10 placings in his maiden Tour de France, where he was in aggressive mode once the race hit its second part.
What are his plans for 2016? “After a year in which I felt for the first time that I can go for a World Tour victory, I’m now ready for other significant improvements. Etixx – Quick-Step is a big step for myself towards the future. It’s a really nice structure, you can see there’s a strong cohesion between the riders. It should be a good way to go and to develop on the same grounds: week-long stage races, like Paris-Nice, Tirreno-Adriatico or the Tour de Suisse, and the Ardennes Classics, which are among my favourite races and where I already felt more comfortable in 2015.”
