Tour de Picardie Stage 3: Meersman Podiums in the Stage, Earns Top 5 GC
Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team rider Gianni Meersman finished 3rd in the final, 170.5km Stage of Tour de Picardie on Sunday.
Arnaud Demare (FDJ.fr) won the stage and the overall. Ramon Sinkeldam (Giant-Shimano) was 2nd. Thanks to 4th and 14th place finishes in prior stages, Meersman earned a 4th place finish overall as well.
Young OPQS rider Petr Vakoc also placed 12th in the final stage, and Nikolas Maes also placed 7th in the GC.
