Davide's biography
Davide Martinelli decided to give cycling a chance very early, when he was seven years old. Step by step, he developed and improved, making a name for himself and confirming he’s one of the most promising Under 23 Italian riders. In the past three seasons, Davide won the time trial national title, while also racking-up some nice results on the road, in Paris-Roubaix and at the European Championships.
“I feel ready for 2016, which is going to be my most important season so far. Signing with Etixx – Quick-Step was really fantastic. It’s a big team with huge tradition in the pro peloton, and even more important, is a Classics-orientated team. For this reason, I’m sure I will develop and become a better rider for the one-day races, which I hope to tackle at some point in my career”, said Davide ahead of his World Tour debut.
