Michal, whose name means “Flower” in Polish, will wear the rainbow stripes in 2015 thanks to a brilliant victory at the UCI World Road Championship in Spain. He attacked on the final climb with 6.9km to go, shocking the world with his solo win. Michal is a force to be reckoned with regardless of the race. He showed this in 2014 by winning a stage and the overall at Volta ao Algarve, Strade Bianche, the National TT Championship in Poland, a road stage of Tour of Britain, and of course Worlds — He was the first Polish rider in history to accomplish that last feat. If you looked at his palmares in 2014 you wouldn’t know he was a 24-year-old rider who won his first WorldTour race at Tour de Romandie the same year. Kwiatkowski was also a protagonist at the Ardennes Classics, where he finished on the podium of Fleche Wallonne and Liege-Bastogne-Liege. He was the leader of the team also at the Tour de France, where he was in contention for the White Jersey. Though Michal is already world champion, in 2015 the focus remains on growing as a rider and continuing to learn at such a young age.

Once again this year we've wrapped up our experience at the Tour de San Luis. All things considered, this was a good transfer for team OPQS.
